Motorola Moto G Review

Motorola Moto G is a nice cellphone released in November 2013, which features a 4.5 inches multi touch screen, a high-tech 1200 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.

Motorola decided to equip this cellphone with a very fast Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.2 gigahertz, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing for a cellphone this powerful. Graphic calculations generally consume lots of CPU time, so this cellphone also has an additional Adreno 305 GPU speeding at 450 MHz to take some work out of the processor. This cellphone counts with aquite big 8 GB internal memory and while it doesn't have an SD memory card expansion slot, it is enough to store a couple hundred games and applications, although it might not be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games available nowadays.

The Motorola Moto G is offerred in many colors, black, pink, yellow, blue, red and white. This device's thickness (0.46 inches) is a little far from current standards, but it still feels quite right in the user's hand. While the is only 5.11" long, it is able to fit a a 4.5 inches screen. It seems like Motorola decided not to care much about the weight in this 5.04 oz cellphone.

This device features two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It is capable of shooting videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 frames per second. The camera also includes a few good characteristics like flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, HDR mode and geo tagging.

Motorola packed the with a beautiful 4.5 inches display, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels composing the display. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The uses a 2070 mAh great Li-Ion battery, which isn't very much for a cellphone like this.

This phone features wifi capability (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM carriers and it can connect using both GSM and CDMA.

This phone also includes some useful characteristics such as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Motorola is offering this phone for 99 dollars, which is a rather high price for comparing with similar cellphones. This device is definitely a good choice for you if you will use it as a work cellphone, will use this device for playing games or will use this cellphone mainly for social networks and internet browsing.
