Motorola Moto G Review

Motorola Moto G is a quite good Android phone launched back in 2013, equipped with a high speed 1200 MHz Quad-Core CPU, a 4.5 inches touch-screen, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. That's everything we have to say? Not at all, it's only the introduction.

This cellphone is just 5.11" long and 2.59 inches wide, but it's still able to fit a a 4.5 inches screen. This cellphone is quite thin and practical, though it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones currently available, with a thickness of 0.46". Motorola sells this device in a variety of color variations, black, pink, yellow, blue, red and white. This time, it seems like Motorola decided not to care so much about the weight in this 5.04 ounces cellphone.

Motorola designed this device with a great 4.5 inches display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes everything look vivid and colorful. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip, which holds a very powerful 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core CPU with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little disappointing for such a good device. Graphic intensive games and applications often consume lots of processing time, so it also counts with an Adreno 305 GPU ticking at 450 megahertz to help handle those graphic tasks. The counts with an interesting 8 GB internal memory and although it doesn't have an external memory slot, it should be enough to store hundreds of games and applications, although it may not be enough if you are planning to install some of the heaviest games currently available.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. The can also shoot videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, the camera has a few interesting features: auto-focus, flash, HDR mode, fast burst mode and geo tagging.

This phone packs an awesome 2070 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep this cellphone running for many hours, although you may need to charge it if you use it heavily.

This device features wifi connection (and it can be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connection type, which is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This phone uses two SIM cards so it is able to work with two different phone lines and even different carriers in the same phone and it works with both GSM and CDMA.

This cellphone also comes with a couple of useful characteristics like Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth phones and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is being sold for about $ 182, which is very expensive for this type of cellphone.
