Samsung Galaxy Reverb Review

Samsung Galaxy Reverb is a pretty good cellphone launched in 2012, packing a 4 inches touch-screen, a fast 1400 megahertz processor, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. Let's take a better view of what this phone can give us.

Samsung decided to build this device using a good performance 1.4 gigahertz processing unit, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8655 chip and 768 MB of RAM. Collaborating with graphic intensive tasks, it also has an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit clocking at 245 megahertz. The Reverb counts with a 4 GB internal storage memory, a common quantity that should be considering that this cellphone also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store photos and videos and even some apps that can be installed in the external memory.

Even though this cellphone is very thin and comfortable it's not so thin as many other devices nowadays, with a thickness of 0.45 inches. Apparently Samsung forgot about weight optimization in this 4.5 ounces phone.

This device includes a interesting 4-inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this device a good graphic quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone offers Wi-Fi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) and 3G internet connection, using EV-DO A technologies. This phone doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM connections and it can connect to CDMA carriers.

This phone features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. Additionally, the camera features some useful characteristics like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone also comes with a few useful features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Reverb packs a 1700 mAh medium sized Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides the Reverb a poor battery lifecompared to other phones. Samsung reports a 8 hs talk time and a 216 hours stand by time for this phone.

This device may be a bit overvalued considering it is sold for 95 dollars, while other similar phones are sold for a bit less than that. It doesn't matter whether you want a device to majorly use social networks and internet browsing or want it for playing games, this phone is a great option for you.
