Nokia Lumia 900 Review

Nokia Lumia 900 is a quite good phone released in 2012, provisioned with a fast processing unit running at 1400 MHz, a 4.3-inches multi touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. But let's get into some more details.

This phone's thickness (0.45") is a little bit far from current standards, but it still feels right in the hand. This phone feels a bit heavy for a cellphone this size, weighting 5.64 ounces. Nokia sells this phone in 3 different colors, black, blue and white.

This cellphone ships with a good performance processing unit ticking at 1400 MHz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 APQ8055 chip and 512 MB RAM. To handle graphic rendering, this cellphone also uses a 245 MHz Adreno 205 GPU. This cellphone counts with aquite big 16 GB internal memory and while it doesn't include a slot for an SD memory card, it should be enough to store a couple hundred apps, although it may not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. It is capable of capturing HD 1280x720 videos at 30 fps. This device also counts with a few good features like flash, auto-focus, digital image stabilization and geo tagging.

Nokia designed this phone with a nice 4.3-inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes all pictures and videos look beautiful.

The Lumia 900 features Wi-Fi connectivity (and it can provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ internet connection, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and the fastest 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Lumia 900 works with a Micro SIM card to use GSM services.

This device also features a handful of cool features such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This cellphone counts with a 1830 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a consuming phone like this. Nokia says this phone has a 350 hours stand by time and a 7 hs talk time.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is very expensive considering it is sold for 135 dollars, and some similar phones can be found for much less money. In case are looking for a device to mainly use social networks, this phone is probably the correct choice for you.
