Comparison review
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an overall score of 94.6, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy A42's 87 score. Even though Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy A42 were released only a couple months apart, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 construction is notably thinner but also a lot heavier. These phones work with the same Android 11 OS.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a bit faster CPU than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has more RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a more vivid screen than Galaxy A42, because it has a lot better resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels, a larger screen and a greater pixel quantity in each screen inch.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Galaxy A42 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has lower video frame rate, and they both have the same video quality and a same size aperture, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a much more mega-pixels camera.
The Galaxy A42 features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4500mAh.
