The Galaxy J8 is a bit better than Samsung W2017, getting a 76.7 score against 73.2. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy J8 has the older 10 version while Samsung W2017 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. The Galaxy J8 design is somewhat lighter and incredibly thinner than Samsung W2017.
The Samsung W2017 features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a way higher number of pixels per inch in the screen and a better 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy J8 and Samsung W2017 feature extremely similar memory for applications, games, photos and videos, both have a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 256 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.
The Galaxy J8's processor is very similar to the CPU in Samsung W2017, and although the Galaxy J8 has a greater number of cores (although they are slower), they both have the same RAM memory amount. The Samsung Galaxy J8 captures a little bit better videos and photos than Samsung W2017, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and a F1.7 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a back facing camera with much more mega pixels.
Galaxy J8 features a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung W2017, because it has a 52 percent larger battery capacity.
