Xperia 1 III is a lot better than Asus ROG Phone, getting a score of 93.3 against 77.1. The Xperia 1 III construction is noticeably newer, just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner than Asus ROG Phone. The Asus ROG Phone has a processing unit that's just as good as the Xperia 1 III one, and although the Asus ROG Phone has lesser RAM, they both have 8 cores.
Xperia 1 III has just a bit better looking display than Asus ROG Phone, because it has a little larger display, a way better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a much better pixels count per screen inch. The Xperia 1 III features just a bit more memory for games and applications than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
Xperia 1 III captures much better videos and photos than Asus ROG Phone, and although they both have the same video definition, the Xperia 1 III also has better video frame rates, a bigger camera aperture and a much larger sensor which provides a lot higher image and video quality. Xperia 1 III has a bit longer battery life than Asus ROG Phone, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Xperia 1 III costs more than Asus ROG Phone, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
