Comparison review
Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is slightly better than Asus ROG Phone 5s's 84.9 global score. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while Asus ROG Phone 5s has Android 12. Even when the Xperia 1 III and the Asus ROG Phone 5s were released only 2 months apart, the Xperia 1 III is lighter and thinner.
The Xperia 1 III and the Asus ROG Phone 5s feature really similar processors, and although the Asus ROG Phone 5s has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Xperia 1 III has just a bit better screen than Asus ROG Phone 5s, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a lot greater pixels amount per display inch.
Asus ROG Phone 5s shoots much clearer videos and photos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting photographs or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same sensor size, the Asus ROG Phone 5s also counts with a way better 7680x4320 video quality and a much higher 64 MP resolution back-facing camera.
Xperia 1 III features a much better storage capacity to install games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 5s, because it has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB and more internal storage capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 5s features greater battery life than Sony Xperia 1 III, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 4500mAh.
