The Motorola edge is slightly better than the Xperia 1 VI, with a general score of 89.6 against 83.2. Both phones in our current comparison use Android operating system, but the Motorola edge has the previous 10 version while Xperia 1 VI has Android 14. Xperia 1 VI counts with a bit better looking screen than Motorola edge, because it has a much higher pixel density, a little bit larger screen and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
The Xperia 1 VI has a bit more memory for games and applications than Motorola edge, and although they both have the same 256 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia 1 VI also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Motorola edge counts with a much better performance than Sony Xperia 1 VI, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Xperia 1 VI captures slightly better videos and photos than Motorola edge, because although it has a back facing camera with a lot lower resolution, a tinier aperture which is worse for low light photos and video and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Xperia 1 VI has just a bit better battery duration than Motorola edge, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
