Sony Xperia 5 III is better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, getting a score of 90.5 against 79.5. These phones come with Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 5 III has an older 11 version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version. The Sony Xperia 5 III is an extremely older cellphone than Asus ROG Phone 8, but Sony could make it a bit thinner and incredibly lighter.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a much better looking display than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little worse pixel density and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400, it also counts with a little bit bigger display. The Xperia 5 III counts with a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have the same 256 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 5 III also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1 TB.
Xperia 5 III counts with an extremely better CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a superior camera than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and video, it also counts with a way better 50 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, a lot better video resolution and a larger camera sensor providing a better image quality.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with longer battery life than Xperia 5 III, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
