Sony Xperia 5 III has a general score of 90.5, which is slightly better than Motorola Edge 20's general score of 86.1. Both devices in this comparison use the same Android 11 OS, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect. Although it's the best in this comparison review, it must be noted that it is also a somewhat thicker and a little heavier phone.
The Xperia 5 III features a little better processing power than Motorola Edge 20. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and 8 GB of RAM memory. Xperia 5 III has a bit better looking screen than Motorola Edge 20, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a just a little higher amount of pixels per screen inch.
Motorola Edge 20 captures much clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for taking photographs or videos in poorly lited situations and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Edge 20 also counts with a back camera with a lot higher resolution.
The Xperia 5 III has much more storage for games and applications than Motorola Edge 20, because it has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory. The Sony Xperia 5 III has a little better battery duration than Motorola Edge 20, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
