The Xperia 5 III has a global score of 90.5, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy A40's 79.6 score. Both phones in this review include the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that. The Xperia 5 III design is way newer than Samsung Galaxy A40's, although it's just a little thicker and heavier.
The Xperia 5 III counts with a bit sharper screen than Galaxy A40, because it has a little higher number of pixels in each inch of screen, a little higher 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution and a bit bigger display. Xperia 5 III features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy A40, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 1 TB.
