Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a general score of 84.7, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia 5's 81 overall score. Asus ROG Phone 5's construction is newer, but way heavier and notably thicker than the Sony Xperia 5. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features a bit sharper screen than Xperia 5, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2448px and a just a bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a little bigger display.
Asus ROG Phone 5's processing unit is just as good as the CPU in Sony Xperia 5, and although the Asus ROG Phone 5 has a higher amount of RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. The Asus ROG Phone 5 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a way better 7680x4320 video resolution, a back camera with way more mega-pixels and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a much better photo and video quality.
The Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 5, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xperia 5 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a way better battery duration than Xperia 5, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
