Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is a bit better than LG V30's 79.1 score. Even though the Sony Xperia 5 is notably newer than LG V30, it is just a little thicker and just a little bit heavier. LG V30 has a bit sharper display than Xperia 5, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2880px resolution and a little higher pixel density.

Xperia 5 counts with a little bit better processing power than LG V30, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM. The LG V30 captures clearer photos and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor taking worse quality videos and images, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.6 diafragm aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the LG V30 also counts with a much more MP back camera.

The LG V30 has just a bit bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The LG V30 has a bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 5% more battery size.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG V30, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG V30. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia 5, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the LG V30, resigning some specifications.
