Comparison review

Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z4's 79.8 overall score. Xperia 5's body is a little bit thicker but a little lighter than Motorola Moto Z4, and they were released only 4 months apart. Xperia 5 counts with a bit sharper screen than Moto Z4, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a little more pixels per screen inch.

Xperia 5 and Moto Z4 both feature really similar memory to install games and applications, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. The Xperia 5 counts with a little bit better processing power than Moto Z4, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.

Moto Z4 shoots better photos and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low light images, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Moto Z4 also counts with a much larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a much more mega-pixels camera.

Moto Z4 features a little longer battery duration than Xperia 5, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Motorola Moto Z4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto Z4. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto Z4, giving up a couple features and specifications.
