Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star is just a bit better than Xperia 5, with an 82.1 score against 81. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is older and somewhat heavier than Xperia 5, it's body is still just a little thinner. Xperia 5 has a bit better performance than Galaxy A8 Star. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.
Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher pixel amount in each inch in the screen and a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star takes clearer photographs and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting photos and/or video in low light situations and a tinier sensor shooting worse quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a camera with much more mega-pixels.
Xperia 5 counts with a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has better battery duration than Xperia 5, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
