Galaxy M31 is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia 5, with an 86.5 score against 81. Even being the best in this review, the Galaxy M31 construction is a little thicker and heavier than Sony Xperia 5. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy M31. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and 6 GB of RAM memory.
The Galaxy M31 and Xperia 5 both have quite similar displays, because although the Galaxy M31 has a just a bit lower display density and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340, it also counts with a quite bigger display. Samsung Galaxy M31 shoots much better photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a lot larger sensor and a lot more megapixels back facing camera.
The Xperia 5 counts with a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy M31, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Xperia 5 also has more internal storage. The Galaxy M31 has a very superior battery performance than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.
