Xperia 5 is a bit better than Xperia XZ2, getting a score of 81 against 79.1. The Xperia 5 is a newer cellphone, and it's also lighter and incredibly thinner than Xperia XZ2. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit better processing unit than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 features a bit sharper screen than Sony Xperia 5, although it has a just a little lower pixel amount in each inch of screen, a bit smaller screen and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160. The Xperia XZ2 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for taking photographs and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels, better 60 fps video frame rates and a larger back camera sensor shooting higher quality photographs and videos.
Xperia 5 has a lot bigger memory for apps and games than Xperia XZ2, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB and more internal storage. The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a little longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has 3180mAh of battery capacity.
