Galaxy Nexus CDMA is a bit better than the Xperia Ion, getting a 66.3 score against 61.3. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Nexus CDMA has the newer 4.2.2 version while Xperia Ion has Android 4.1.2 version. Even though Galaxy Nexus CDMA and the Xperia Ion were only released with a couple months difference, the Galaxy Nexus CDMA body is just a little heavier but somewhat thinner than the Xperia Ion.
The Sony Xperia Ion counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy Nexus CDMA, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 720px resolution, the Sony Xperia Ion also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Galaxy Nexus CDMA and Sony Xperia Ion feature incredibly similar CPUs, and although the Galaxy Nexus CDMA has an extra GPU, they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount.
The Galaxy Nexus CDMA takes much clearer videos and photos than Xperia Ion, although it has a way lower 5 mega-pixels resolution camera and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. Galaxy Nexus CDMA has a slightly better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Ion, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity.
Galaxy Nexus CDMA's battery lifetime is just as good as the battery life in Xperia Ion, although the Galaxy Nexus CDMA has just 1850mAh battery size against 1900mAh.
