The HTC One M9 has an overall score of 77.7, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra's 72.8 global score. Despite of the fact HTC One M9 is extremely older and somewhat thicker than Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, it's construction is still somewhat lighter. HTC One M9 has a little better performance than Xperia XA1 Ultra, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64 bits processor.
The HTC One M9 features a better looking display than Xperia XA1 Ultra, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the HTC One M9 also counts with a just a little better display density. The HTC One M9 counts with a much better camera than Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality, a tinier camera aperture which is worse for shooting photographs and video in low light environments and a worse 20 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
Xperia XA1 Ultra features slightly more memory capacity to install applications and games than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory, the Xperia XA1 Ultra also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The HTC One M9 counts with just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, because it has a 2840mAh battery capacity.
