The Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is a lot better than the Sony Xperia XA1's global score of 71.7. The Huawei Mate X construction is newer than the Sony Xperia XA1's, but it's much heavier and way thicker. Huawei Mate X counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XA1, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei Mate X also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei Mate X has a more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a lot higher 2200 x 2480 resolution, a higher pixel density and a lot bigger screen. The Huawei Mate X has a much better memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XA1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X has a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a 96 percent bigger battery size. The Xperia XA1 captures a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a lot smaller sensor taking much lower quality pictures, a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for taking photographs or video in poorly lited situations and a back camera with a lot lower resolution.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia XA1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia XA1. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia XA1, giving up some specifications.
