The Xperia XA2 Plus is just a bit better than the Moto G31, having a 78.6 score against 77. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but Xperia XA2 Plus has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Moto G31 has Android 11 version, so it provides some additional features and increased performance. Although Xperia XA2 Plus is better than the Moto G31, it must be told that it is also a much older, somewhat thicker and heavier device.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a bit better display than Motorola Moto G31, although it has a bit worse pixels amount per inch of screen, a little bit smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2160. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a bit better processing power than Moto G31, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Moto G31 has a quite bigger memory to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Moto G31 also has a SD card slot that supports up to 1 TB. The Moto G31 features a way better battery duration than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
The Motorola Moto G31 counts with a little bit better camera than Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Motorola Moto G31 also has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels and a bigger diafragm aperture for better low-light photography and videos.
