Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, getting an 83.3 score against 79.8. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a newer phone, and it is also just a bit thinner and a little bit lighter than Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little bit better processing power than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xperia XZ Premium features a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more brightness, a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a much higher number of pixels per display inch. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a very superior storage for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality and a camera in the back with a way better resolution.
