Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's 77.7 overall score. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium body is a little thicker and heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although it has lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Xperia XZ Premium counts with a much sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and a much greater display density. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 4 percent larger battery size.
