Comparison review
Xperia XZ Premium has a score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's 76.6 global score. Despite of the fact that Xperia XZ Premium is notably older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's design is a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with an incredibly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher pixel density and a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels.
Xperia XZ Premium features a bit more memory for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ Premium also has an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has 1 GB more RAM.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a slightly better camera than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality, a larger camera aperture to capture better photography and video in low light environments and a camera with much more MP.
