Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star is a little bit better than Xperia XZ1, getting an 82.1 score against 78.3. Galaxy A8 Star's body is newer, but heavier and a bit thicker than Xperia XZ1. Xperia XZ1 features a little faster CPU than Galaxy A8 Star, although it has less RAM memory, they both have 8 cores. Xperia XZ1 features a little more vivid display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little lower 1080 x 1920 resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better pixel density.
Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for shooting pictures and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a larger back camera sensor and a camera in the back with more MP.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a much better memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Galaxy A8 Star has a very superior battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
