Galaxy A80 is slightly better than the Xperia XZ1, having a global score of 84.9 against 78.3. Even though Galaxy A80 is newer than Xperia XZ1, it is noticeably thicker and extremely heavier. The Xperia XZ1 has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A80, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.

Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A80, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 1920 resolution and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better pixel density. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A80, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
