Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M31 has a global score of 86.5, which is much better than the Sony Xperia XZ1's overall score of 78.3. Although Samsung Galaxy M31 is notably newer than Sony Xperia XZ1, it's thicker and heavier. Sony Xperia XZ1 and Galaxy M31 feature very similar processing units, and although the Galaxy M31 has more RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Galaxy M31 counts with a slightly better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a just a little lower pixels count in each inch of screen, it also counts with a larger display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy M31, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB.
Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a very superior battery life than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity. Galaxy M31 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy M31 also has a much larger sensor, a bigger diafragm aperture for better images and videos in low light situations and a much more megapixels back camera.
