LG V50 ThinQ's construction is newer, a little bit lighter and much thinner than Sony Xperia XZ2. Xperia XZ2 and LG V50 ThinQ count with extremely similar screens, although the LG V50 ThinQ also has a greater amount of pixels per display inch, a higher 1440 x 3120 resolution and a little larger display.

The LG V50 ThinQ features a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the LG V50 ThinQ also has 2 GB more RAM memory. LG V50 ThinQ features a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal storage capacity.

LG V50 ThinQ counts with improved battery life than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3180mAh. The Sony Xperia XZ2 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a back facing camera with way more megapixels and a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality.
