Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 is slightly better than the OnePlus 8, having a 79.1 score against 76. The Xperia XZ2 is a way older, a little heavier and noticeably thicker cellphone than the OnePlus 8. OnePlus 8 features just a bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia XZ2, because although it has a just a little lower pixels quantity per inch in the screen, it also counts with a bit larger screen, a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a much brighter screen.
The Xperia XZ2 has more storage capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. OnePlus 8 has a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The OnePlus 8 shoots better pictures and videos than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger sensor capturing better quality photographs and videos, a back camera with a lot better 48 MP resolution and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light captures and video.
The OnePlus 8 counts with longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 35 percent greater battery capacity.
