Comparison review
Xperia 5 is just a bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2, having an 81 score against 79.1. Xperia 5 is a newer phone, and it's also somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner than the Sony Xperia XZ2. The Xperia XZ2 has just a bit better screen than Sony Xperia 5, although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, a quite smaller display and a just a bit lower display density.
The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little faster CPU than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a greater amount of RAM. Xperia 5 features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ2, because it has 64 GB more internal memory capacity and an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Sony Xperia XZ2 features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a camera in the back with a much better 19 MP resolution, a bigger back camera sensor taking higher quality pictures and faster 60 frames per second video frame rate.
The Xperia XZ2 features a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia 5, because it has 3180mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
