Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has an overall score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia Z2a's 73 general score. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has the newer 5.1 version while Sony Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version, so it provides the user a couple additional features. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s body is noticeably thinner and a little bit lighter than Sony Xperia Z2a.

The Galaxy S6 edge+ features a bit better looking screen than Xperia Z2a, because it has a bit higher pixel density, a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a little bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a better memory for games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage.

The Xperia Z2a counts with a little bit better performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores and a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ captures slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia Z2a, although it has a tinier sensor taking worse quality videos and images, a much lower 16 MP resolution back-facing camera and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s battery performance is very similar to the Sony Xperia Z2a one.

Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Sony Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Sony Xperia Z2a. If you want to save some money, you can get the Sony Xperia Z2a, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
