Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 is slightly better than Sony Xperia Z2a, getting a 78.3 score against 73. Xperia XZ1's design is a little bit lighter and notably thinner than Sony Xperia Z2a. The Xperia XZ1 features just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia Z2a, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and more RAM.
Xperia Z2a counts with a more vivid display than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080px resolution, the Xperia Z2a also counts with a little bit better pixel number per screen inch. Xperia XZ1 shoots better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia Z2a, although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lesser megapixels resolution back facing camera, they both have a 0.43 inches back camera sensor.
Sony Xperia XZ1 features a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z2a, because it has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia Z2a counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3000mAh battery size.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z2a. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Xperia Z2a, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
