Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 is a little bit better than the Xperia Z2a, with a overall score of 79.6 against 73. The Xperia XZ3 is a heavier but just a little bit thinner phone than Xperia Z2a. These devices come with Android OS, but the Xperia XZ3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Z2a has Android 4.4.2 version, giving lots of additional features.
Sony Xperia XZ3 has a bit better CPU than Sony Xperia Z2a, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM. The Xperia XZ3 features a bit sharper screen than Xperia Z2a, because it has a bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a bit more pixels per inch in the screen.
Sony Xperia XZ3 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia Z2a, although it has a lower (4K) video resolution and a lower resolution camera, they both have the same back-facing camera sensor size. The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a much greater memory to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z2a, because it has 48 GB more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Xperia XZ3 features a bit better battery life than Xperia Z2a, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z2a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z2a. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia Z2a, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
