The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has an overall score of 86.3, which is much better than the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's global score of 75.1. Motorola Edge 50 Pro's design is noticeably newer and a bit thinner than Sony Xperia Z5 Compact's, but it is also incredibly heavier. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a newer 14 version while Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has Android 5.1 version.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a sharper screen than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a little bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the display, a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a lot bigger display. Sony Xperia Z5 Compact counts with a much better performance than Motorola Edge 50 Pro, because although it has 10 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact also counts with an extra GPU.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro captures much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia Z5 Compact, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro also has a lot more MP back camera, a much bigger camera sensor which gives a much better image and video quality and a much larger aperture for better low light photography and videos.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Xperia Z5 Compact, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal memory. Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a really longer battery lifetime than Xperia Z5 Compact, because it has a 67% larger battery capacity.
