The iPhone 14 is much better than Xperia Z5 Premium, with a 92.5 score against 79.8. The iPhone 14 has iOS 16.x OS, while Xperia Z5 Premium comes with Android 5.1 OS. IPhone 14's body has the same thickness than Xperia Z5 Premium, but it is just a bit lighter. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a brighter display than Apple iPhone 14, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a lot higher screen density.
Apple iPhone 14 has a superior hardware performance than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit and 2 less cpu cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a 64 bits processor.
