Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 10's global score of 78.9. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version and Huawei Mate 10 has Android 10 version. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is an much older phone than Huawei Mate 10, but Sony managed to build it a little bit thinner and a little bit lighter anyway.
Xperia Z5 Premium features a brighter display than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 3840 x 2160px and a lot better display pixel density. The Huawei Mate 10 features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that allows up to 256 GB.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics processor. Huawei Mate 10 has just a bit better battery life than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Xperia Z5 Premium captures slightly better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing images or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution and a way bigger sensor.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei Mate 10, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei Mate 10. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei Mate 10, giving up a couple features and specs.
