Comparison review
Galaxy S8 has a global score of 81.7, which is slightly better than Xperia Z5 Premium's global score of 79.8. The Galaxy S8 design has the same thickness than Xperia Z5 Premium, but it is somewhat lighter. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have 8 cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
Xperia Z5 Premium features a better screen than Galaxy S8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a greater pixels amount per screen inch. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a much bigger storage for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB and more internal memory capacity.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features just a little better battery duration than Galaxy S8, because it has a 3430mAh battery size. Xperia Z5 Premium takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a camera with way more mega pixels and a larger sensor shooting better quality videos and photographs.
Even being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy S8 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, making it an easy decision.
