Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a score of 79.8, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi 12's general score of 78.8. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a noticeably older and just a bit heavier phone than the Xiaomi 12, but Sony could make it just a little bit thinner anyway. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version while Xiaomi 12 has Android 12 version.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a better looking screen than Xiaomi 12, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and a lot higher pixel quantity per screen inch. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a much better performing processor than Xiaomi 12, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Xiaomi 12 counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Xiaomi 12 features a much better camera than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for taking photographs and videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a way more mega pixels camera in the back, a lot larger camera sensor which provides a way better photo and video quality and a way higher video definition.
Xiaomi 12 features greater battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3430mAh.
