The HTC Explorer is a little bit better than the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, getting a 46.4 score against 44.2. The HTC Explorer construction is lighter and somewhat thinner than T-Mobile Sidekick 4G. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS, but HTC Explorer has newer 2.3 version and T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has Android 2.2 version, giving you a lot of extra features and performance enhancements.
T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has a little bit better performance than HTC Explorer, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G also has an extra graphics co-processor. T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has a much better screen than HTC Explorer, because it has more pixels per inch of display, a bit larger screen and a way higher 800 x 480px resolution.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G takes better pictures and videos than HTC Explorer, and although they both have the same video resolution and a back-facing camera with a 3 mega pixels resolution, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G also has better video frame rates. The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than HTC Explorer.
T-Mobile Sidekick 4G counts with improved battery lifetime than HTC Explorer, because it has a 22% larger battery capacity.
