Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 5 is much better than the vivo iQOO 12 Pro, getting an 84.7 score against 71.5. Although it's the best in this review, Asus ROG Phone 5's body is incredibly older, heavier and thicker than vivo iQOO 12 Pro. Asus ROG Phone 5 features a lot better performance than vivo iQOO 12 Pro, although it has 8 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The vivo iQOO 12 Pro features a better display than Asus ROG Phone 5, and although they both have a display of the same size, the vivo iQOO 12 Pro also has a way brighter screen, a higher 1440 x 3200 resolution and a better pixels density. The vivo iQOO 12 Pro has a very superior storage for games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 5, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 features just a bit longer battery lifetime than vivo iQOO 12 Pro, because it has an 18 percent bigger battery capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features a little bit better camera than vivo iQOO 12 Pro, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing photos and videos in poorly lited environments and a way smaller back camera sensor capturing much worse quality videos and photos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 7680x4320 video definition, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also counts with a camera in the back with a lot better 64 megapixels resolution.
