Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than vivo NEX 3, having a general score of 78.3 against 73.9. Xperia XZ1 is an older cellphone than vivo NEX 3, but Sony was able to make it way lighter and much thinner. Xperia XZ1 has a bit sharper display than vivo NEX 3, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 1920 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixel count per inch of display.

Vivo NEX 3 shoots much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the vivo NEX 3 also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photos, a camera in the back with much more mega pixels and a lot larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures.
