Both devices in this review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi 13 Pro has Android 13, giving some additional features and some performance improvements.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a higher display density, a higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a little bigger screen. The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a much faster CPU than Xiaomi 13 Pro, although it has lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Galaxy A8 Star takes much better photos and videos than Xiaomi 13 Pro, although it has a back-facing camera with way less MP resolution. The Galaxy A8 Star features a greater memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi 13 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 400 GB.
