Comparison review
The LG Velvet is slightly better than the Xiaomi Black Shark 3, with an 87.1 score against 86.6. LG Velvet is a somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner phone than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, even when both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. LG Velvet counts with a display that's very similar to the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 one, although the LG Velvet also has a little bit higher 1080 x 2460 resolution, a little more pixels per display inch and a quite larger display.
The LG Velvet has a superior memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the LG Velvet also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a bit superior processing unit than LG Velvet, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than LG Velvet, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same aperture, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rates, a way more MP back-facing camera and a larger back camera sensor taking better quality videos and pictures.
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has just a little better battery lifetime than LG Velvet, because it has a 10% bigger battery capacity.
