The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8, with an 86.6 score against 83.3. Both phones we are comparing use the same Android 10 OS. Xiaomi Black Shark 3's body is newer than Xiaomi Mi 8's, but it is much heavier and much thicker. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a CPU that is very similar to Xiaomi Black Shark 3's processing unit, and although the Xiaomi Mi 8 has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the display. Xiaomi Black Shark 3 shoots a lot better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has a back camera with lot more megapixels, a much bigger sensor providing a much higher image quality and faster video frame rate.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because it has 128 GB more internal memory. Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a very superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 4720mAh of battery capacity.
