The Google Pixel XL is much better than Xiaomi Mi 5, with a score of 81.3 against 73.7. Xiaomi Mi 5 has a slightly better screen than Google Pixel XL, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1440, the Xiaomi Mi 5 also counts with a quite greater pixel number in each inch in the screen.
Xiaomi Mi 5 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Google Pixel XL, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 5 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Google Pixel XL takes much better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5, although it has a lot less mega-pixels back camera and a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light photography and video.

Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Mi 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Google Pixel XL, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi 5, letting go a couple specifications.
