Comparison review
The Galaxy Note9 is better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting a score of 87.1 against 76.4. Galaxy Note9's construction is newer, but a bit thicker and heavier than Xiaomi Mi 5s. The Xiaomi Mi 5s and the Galaxy Note9 both count with incredibly similar displays, although the Galaxy Note9 also has a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960, a bit better pixels density and a bigger screen.
Galaxy Note9 has much more storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Note9 also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy Note9 has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores.
Samsung Galaxy Note9 features greater battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. The Galaxy Note9 has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor capturing worse quality images, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a 12 mega pixels back facing camera, the Galaxy Note9 also counts with higher video frame rate and a much larger aperture.
The Galaxy Note9 is more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
