Comparison review
Xperia XZ Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's 77.7 general score. The Xperia XZ Premium construction is just a little bit thicker and heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a much more vibrant display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way greater display pixel density and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840px.
The Xperia XZ Premium counts with a little faster processor than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Xperia XZ Premium features just a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 4 percent larger battery capacity. Xperia XZ Premium counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing photographs in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a way better 19 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
