Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 8, with a 90.9 score against 83.3. Both phones in this comparison review include the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro construction is noticeably newer, but somewhat heavier and thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 8.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little bit better display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, a little smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248px.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro's memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 8 one, they have equal 256 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro takes way better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light captures, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate, a way bigger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a camera in the back with much more MP.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features improved battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
