Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a score of 83.3, which is a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium's general score of 82.2. Xiaomi Mi 8's body is extremely lighter and much thinner than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, even when they were released only a couple of months apart. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has an incredibly better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way better display pixels density, a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and more screen brightness.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a processing unit that is very similar to Xiaomi Mi 8's processor, both have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a greater memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a little bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a same size diafragm aperture, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back camera with way more MP and a larger back-facing camera sensor.
